The Georgia Tax Credit Scholarship Program lets you redirect your state taxes to fund student scholarships. It's a credit — not a deduction — so you get back every dollar you contribute.
Any Georgia taxpayer with state income tax liability can participate — individuals, married couples, S-Corps, and C-Corps.
Fill out a simple online form indicating the amount you'd like to contribute for the 2027 tax year.
Once approved by the GA Dept. of Revenue, you'll get payment instructions. Pay within the 60-day window.

The Georgia Tax Credit Scholarship Program is simple. Here’s the process from start to finish.
Complete a simple pledge form indicating the amount you'd like to contribute for the upcoming tax year.
Once approved by the Georgia Department of Revenue, you'll receive your approved amount and payment instructions.
Pay via credit card, electronic check, or mail-in check within the 60-day payment window.

It’s a program that allows Georgia taxpayers to redirect a portion of their state income taxes to fund scholarships for students attending eligible private schools. You receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit — not just a deduction.
Individuals may contribute up to $2,500 per year. Married couples filing jointly may contribute up to $5,000. LLCs and partnerships may contribute up to $25,000. C-Corporations, trusts, and PTE entities may contribute up to 75% of their Georgia income tax liability, subject to applicable program rules.
It’s a tax credit. That means the full amount you contribute is subtracted directly from your Georgia income tax — dollar for dollar.
The pledge form for the 2027 tax year is now open. The 2026 cap has already been reached, so new pledges submitted now are for the 2027 tax year.
Apogee sends digital tax receipt letters after contributions are completed and processed. For 2026 contributions, receipts are expected to be available in early summer and can be accessed through the Donor Portal.
